Lindsey Ledwig - Owner
Lindsey’s love of dance started at the age of 2 when she was enrolled in class at Debbie Bennett Green School of Dance in Victoria, TX. In 1st grade she joined the competition team and in 6th grade she earned a spot on the Victoria Strutters, the junior high drill team. She went on to high school drill team, where she earned the rank of Junior Lieutenant and 1st Senior Captain. Lindsey knew she wanted to pursue dance long term, so she enrolled at Texas State University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education & Business. While at Texas State, Lindsey was a member of the Texas State Strutters. During this time Lindsey began teaching at Dance Unlimited in Buda, TX. She then ended her time as a Texas State Strutter in order to take on teaching more classes. In 2013, Lindsey knew it was time to spread her wings and branch out on her own. She proudly started First Class Dance Center in San Marcos. FCDC was a national award winning studio with a strong competitive team. After having her first child, Lindsey ultimately decided to step back as studio owner and focus on being a mom. While being a mom is her favorite thing in this world, her passion for teaching dance has never faded. Lindsey is so excited to bring her many years of experience and training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, high kick, and pom to New Braunfels, with Standout Dance Center. She will do whatever it takes to help a student excel in the studio. Lindsey believes many important life lessons can be taught while in dance class. These include discipline, respect, determination, confidence, and dedication. She appreciates every child that walks through her doors and takes pride in giving each of them the quality dance instruction they deserve.
Amy Tiemann - Instructor
Amy started dance at the age of 5, after failed attempts to master swimming and gymnastics. She attended a summer camp at Busby Dancenter in Victoria, Texas and decided dance was her thing! In the 4th grade, she performed in her first Nutcracker and was hooked for good. She was a member of the Victoria Ballet Theatre from 5th-12th grade in which she performed many more Nutcracker roles including Clara, Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy, as well as other classical ballets such as Swan Lake and Coppelia. Throughout high school, VBT performed around the world, traveling to Europe twice, New York, and all around Texas. Throughout high school and into college Amy assisted and taught classes for ages 3-10. After college at Texas State University (Eat ‘em Up Cats!), life took Amy in a different, but blessed direction. She has a wonderful husband, Brian, and 2 precious, full-of-life kids, Carson and Daylin. She also is the Accounting Specialist at the Schlitterbahn Corporate Office. A few years ago, she had a desire to get back into dance, by teaching. Her dance passions are classical ballet, and tap, mixed with some contemporary and jazz. Dance is not only about the body, it teaches us so much more – it shows us our own inner strength, it feeds our soul, teaches teamwork and discipline.

She plans to major in Psychology at Texas State (later transferring to Franciscan University in Ohio) and aspires to become a PTSD specialist for the Military. Her favorite dance styles are Contemporary and Hip-Hop but she also loves Acro and Technique type classes. When she’s not dancing, she loves photography, spending time with her friends, and reading.
