Lindsey Ledwig - Owner

Lindsey’s love of dance started at the age of 2 when she was enrolled in class at Debbie Bennett Green School of Dance in Victoria, TX. In 1st grade she joined the competition team and in 6th grade she earned a spot on the Victoria Strutters, the junior high drill team.  She went on to high school drill team, where she earned the rank of Junior Lieutenant and 1st Senior Captain.  Lindsey knew she wanted to pursue dance long term, so she enrolled at Texas State University, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Dance Education & Business. While at Texas State, Lindsey was a member of the Texas State Strutters.  During this time Lindsey began teaching at Dance Unlimited in Buda, TX. She then ended her time as a Texas State Strutter in order to take on teaching more classes.  In 2013, Lindsey knew it was time to spread her wings and branch out on her own.  She proudly started First Class Dance Center in San Marcos.  FCDC was a national award winning studio with a strong competitive team.  After having her first child, Lindsey ultimately decided to step back as studio owner and focus on being a mom.  While being a mom is her favorite thing in this world, her passion for teaching dance has never faded. Lindsey is so excited  to bring her many years of experience and training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, high kick, and pom to New Braunfels, with Standout Dance Center.  She will do whatever it takes to help a student excel in the studio.  Lindsey believes many important life lessons can be taught while in dance class. These include discipline, respect, determination, confidence, and dedication.  She appreciates every child that walks through her doors and takes pride in giving each of them the quality dance instruction they deserve.

Amy Tiemann - Instructor

At the age of 5, Ms. Amy attended a summer dance camp at Busby Dancenter in Victoria, Texas.  She had tried lots of other activities but none stuck like dance.  In the 4th grade she performed in her first “Nutcracker” and was hooked for good.  She was a member of the Victoria Ballet Theatre from 5th-12th grades with which she performed many other “Nutcracker” roles such as Clara, Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy, as well as in other classical ballets such as “Swan Lake”, “The Firebird” and “Coppelia”.  Throughout high school, VBT performed around the world including Europe, New York and all around Texas.  During her high school and college dancing days Ms. Amy assisted and taught dance classes for ages 3-10.  After college, at Texas State University (Eat ‘Em Up Cats!), life took Ms. Amy into different, but blessed direction working at Schlitterbahn since 2004 as an Admissions Manager, and now Accounting Specialist.  With the support of her husband, Brian, and children, Carson and Daylin, Ms. Amy returned to her lifelong passion of teaching dance in 2017.  Her dance favorite dance styles are classical ballet and tap, mixed with some contemporary and jazz.  In 2020 Ms. Amy became certified as a Progressing Ballet Technique instructor.  Dance is not only about the body, it teaches us so much more – is shows our own inner strength, it feeds out soul, allows free expression and teaches teamwork and discipline.
